As a mum of a four year old and a baby, mornings are not as relaxing as they used to be. However they are a lot better now Master A is on the right medication for his long-term colic and reflux.
So we usually get up between 6 and 7am. I am lucky that Master A does not scream to be fed any more, he is quite happy to play on his mat for a while so I can get his bottle ready and iron his Daddy’s shirt. I have to have a cup of tea as soon as I get up.
I use cold water sterilisation to sterilise Master A’s bottles so there is a bottle there waiting to be used, saves time!
In terms of testing the Belvita biscuits. I quite like them! On the days that I did have what was in the picture, I felt as if I had more energy. In reality I don’t have the time to have so much to eat and drink. I am running around making sure that everyone else is fed and where they should be in time! My favourite has to be the Cocoa flavour ones! Yes I love my chocolate!
I can improve on my morning routine by making sure I iron my other half’s shirts in one go at the weekend and by getting a decent iron. My iron is terrible! I wish I could trust making Master A’s bottle of milk at night time, but due to it being a specialised formula, I don’t know how long it will last in the fridge, it would be quicker if I could warm the milk rather than making each one as I need it.
I am dreading September where Miss A starts primary school. Hopefully with the fact that Master A will be older, it will be easier as he will be able to have normal breakfast and normal milk (soya milk in his case) and we can quickly get it ready in time for the school run. Having Miss A go to preschool in the afternoon has been lovely!
