Today is my mum’s birthday. A special birthday. I won’t mention which one.
So I thought I would put a little something on my blog.
Mum,
Happy Birthday Mum. I really wish I was with you on your special day, hopefully I will see you soon. Enjoy your day, whatever you do.
You have been a fantastic mum to me. I haven’t been the easiest child to bring up – what with my illnesses. But you seemed to of coped very well. I know it must of been hard at times. I am very grateful for what you (and Dad) have done for me. All those trips to the hospital and the orthodontists…that must of been a worry and a trek. I shall never ever forget what you both have done for me.
Living so far away from you makes me sad most days, even after eight and a half years. How I would love to just come to visit most days, just for a chat and and a cuppa. Don’t get me wrong I am happy here and love Preston but I miss you both very much. I think I always will.
Anyway, enough of that. I will start crying in front of Miss A!
Hope you have a fantastic birthday, I love you so much. Lots of love.
Kelly x
That’s a beautiful letter Kelly.
I know about being far form loved ones so can feel your sadness, big hugs to you and your birthday mum x
Thanks! It’s hard isn’t it. They have both been so good to me, feels wrong to be away from them like this, even now. x
It’s so nice to read about Mums and daughters being so close. It doesn’t matter how far you are from each other, a special relationship like yours lasts forever x
