I am not a fan of some of the products that were sent, I only actually enjoyed the Pâté and the Duck Style Pieces. It is a shame. Maybe because I am not vegan. I found the desserts too artificial looking and the taste didn’t really appeal to me. The colours of them were too bold for my liking.
I froze the beef and duck style pieces amd also the Cheezly Bites. Some instructions on how to cook these products from frozen would be fantastic on the packaging. I was not a lover of the beef style pieces but that’s probably because I wasn’t a fan of beef from my non-vegetarian days. My goodness that was over seven years ago! The duck style pieces (which I cooked in oil from frozen) had a fantastic taste to them. I ate them all on their own! The Cheezly Bites were odd. They were frozen and there were no defrosting instructions on the pack. So I stuck them in the oven and that obviously melted them, it was OK in a sandwich but not to eat as finger food.
My two favourite products that were sent to me were the Pâté. The tuna style Pâté is great with a bit of mayonnaise, I know this defeats the purpose of it being vegan but I did not like it without. The mushroom Pâté is my favourite. I will certainly be buying more of this! It is superb! I could eat this on it’s own!
This is my personal opinion on the products. A vegan would probably find the products I didn’t enjoy more appealing. Everyone’s tastes are different.
