I was kindly sent (along with other products) some Hipp Organic Little Nibbles fruit bars for Miss A to try. They are a combination of organic fruit and organic cereal. The two varieties received were organic plum & apple with cereal and organic peach & apple with cereal. The ingredients are quite simple.
For the peach fruit bar:
Cereals (39%) [wholemeal oat flour, wheat flakes, rice flour, cornflakes, rice crispies], apple juice concentrate (20%), banana flakes, peach juice concentrate (8%), vegetable oil, apple powder (5%) [dried apple puree, starch].
For the plum fruit bar:
Cereals (37%) [wholemeal oat flour, wheat flakes, rice flour, cornflakes, rice crispies], apple juice concentrate (14%), plum flakes (12%), [dried plum puree, rice flour], banana flakes, plum juice concentrate (10%), vegetable oil, blackcurrant juice concentrate, carrot juice concentrate.
These bars are a a little less crumbly than than other cereal bars that Miss A has had so not much mess. Both varieties were eaten and not a crumb was left so Miss A enjoyed them. The colour of the plum one is very purple. Miss A had a surprised look on her face when she was given it!
I had a piece of both and I prefer the peach one but that’s probably because I prefer peaches rather than plums. Did get stuck in my teeth a bit but that’s not a problem for Miss A as she only has two bottom teeth (at 17 months old!!!)
