I was sent a Jungle Junction Taxicrab Boat and Race Launcher for Miss A to test and for me to review.

Let’s start with the Jungle Junction Taxicrab Boat.

Jungle Junction, Flair, Taxicrab Boat, toys, boat

Jungle Junction Taxicrab Boat

Miss A loved the boat a lot and still plays with it a lot. She hasn’t got much imagination yet so she doesn’t know how to make a game of the boat, like walking the plank and getting the crab to go up in the boat but this is the favourite toy. She sings Row Row Row your Boat when pretending it is on water, so her imagination skills are starting to appear, but in terms of knowing how to play with the toy properly, she isn’t ready yet.

I personally think this is the best toy of the two, it is more sturdy and takes up less space! I think this toy is going to last longer than the Race Launcher as the boat can go on adventures etc!

I do have one issue with the toy, it comes apart easily. The top of the boat has come away from the bottom quite a few times, now I am not sure if this is because of her age and she is still a bit destructive..so maybe when she turns three or a little older, I should review the products again. Apart from the top coming away from the base, this will make the ideal toy for your child.

Now for the Jungle Junction Race Launcher.

Jungle Junction Race Launcher

The Jungle Junction Race Launcher was liked by Miss A too. She loved pushing the toys down the slopes! She loves playing with the bell..this toy has made Miss A laugh a lot! Again there are some issues with the toy coming apart. Even while moving the toy, which Miss A did regularly, the toy came apart. I know that the toy needs to be packaged in pieces as it will break, it is just a shame that when put together, it isn’t more sturdy. It did get a little bit of a chore having to put the toy back together every 5 minutes so I have put this toy away until Miss A respects her toys more. As said, she is a bit destructive still!

Would I recommend the products? Well after being sent the products, I found out that the toys are suitable for children over three years, a lot can happen in three years and Miss A could start to become less destructive, and probably listen to me more when I say not to pull her toys apart/leave her toys where they are, so possibly yes! Miss A has had a lot of fun with the toys. If only if they can be a bit more sturdy when built! Then she could play with them more now but it is just getting a little bit much trying to build them again and again. I will review the toys when she is three in 5 months time.

I do have my own pictures to add but my camera isn’t accessible at the moment, will update when I can.

Poppy Cat Birthday Treasures and Other Adventures, Poppy Cat

Poppy Cat Birthday Treasures and Other Adventures

I received a check disk of Poppy cat to review. I quite like Poppy Cat Birthday Treasure and Other Adventures. Miss A seems to like Poppy Cat too! She watched the episodes with quite a bit of interest (while covering the sofa in stickers!)

The episodes include:

Birthday Treasure
Bad Robot
Magic Show
Sunken Ship
Bumble Fumble
Cheese Mountain
Marshmallow Mines
Missing Keys
Chilly Hills
Space Race
Buried Treasure

It is a very colourful and bright programme and has lots of music. Miss A liked the robot episode. Think she liked the dramatic music. Poppy Cat and her friends go on an exciting adventure in each episode. It is quite simply done and that, I feel, is generally the best thing for little ones! The voices are not annoying either!

Voiced by Gavin & Stacey star, Joanna Page, Poppy Cat is a great new British children’s animation based on the best-selling books by author Lara Jones, which have sold in excess of 2.5 million copies!

We were sent a Deluxe Rapunzel costume for Miss A to review.

We absolutely adore Tangled. It was the first film that Miss A saw at the cinema. So we chose this from the range of fancy dress costumes at http://www.joke.co.uk/

The costume is a little too big for Miss A at the moment but she still loves wearing it. I bet she thinks she is a proper princess! She often cries when I take it off her…bless! However the quality is very good! It is wipe clean only so I need to make sure that Miss A doesn’t eat anything when she is wearing it! She is a very messy girl! There is a hair piece that comes with the dress. I don’t particularly rate the quality of it but then I didn’t expect it to be there. It is made up of two bits, I know why they do this as it could be a strangulation risk. It does say that it comes with the braid but I didn’t read the description properly.

All in all I think this dress is lovely! Miss A loves it and that is the most important thing. We don’t go to many parties yet and no fancy dress parties are planned this year but that doesn’t stop Miss A pretending to be a princess! I would recommend this dress to all little Tangled fans, it has made my daughter very happy! Would make a nice gift! Here is a photo of her in her dress and our lovely dog behind her. She (or my fiancé put the sofa cushion on him so he looks like he has lost his body!)

Llamas Baked Bites, snacks, savoury, llamas, cheesy, barbeque, sweet chilli

Llamas Baked Bites Snacks

I was sent three packs, one of each of the Llama’s Baked Bites to review. The three flavours are BBQ, cheese and sweet chilli. They are made from whole-wheat and oven baked, they are in the shape of a llama

What can I say about these? Well I love them!  My favourite is the BBQ one. Oh I do love BBQ snacks! The second has to be the cheesy one. The sweet chilli is nice, very nice! But I prefer the other two. There are quite a few Llama shapes in the bag, so they should last long, unless you become addicted to a flavour. I could of easily eaten the BBQ flavour in one sitting! They are all full of flavour and are so tasty! I would recommend them to everyone. Shame they are only available at Tesco. There isn’t a Tesco nearby.

One thing that my fiancé noticed was the fact that they were made in Canada so they have had a bit of a journey to get to the UK..poor llama’s!

Llama’s are available in 150g bags from Tesco stores nationwide and at tesco.com, priced at £1.69.

More can be found at http://www.llamasnacks.com/ and they are on Facebook and Twitter.

Philips Avent Bath and Room Thermometer

Since Miss A has been in our life, we have used the Philips Bath and Room Thermometer to check the water temperature of her bath.

We still use it now and I love it. I know you can use your wrist but I like the reassurance that I am not making the bath too hot or too cold. You do have to be patient with it as it takes some time to read the temperature but we have got used to that now. It also has a habit of moving up and down the bath, away from where you want it to be so I hold the edge of it (making sure not to mess up the reading). It can flip over making the sensor stick up out of the water. So that’s another reason why I hold it steady when measuring the temperature.

It is a lovely little  bath thermometer and Miss A plays with it in the bath. She has had a good chew on it as well and not left any marks.

I would recommend this product to everyone who would like to check the bath water. I haven’t used it to check the room temperature as the thermometer is kept in the bathroom and if I use it in any other room it will just get annoying having to take it to the bathroom again so I can’t comment on how accurate it is for that purpose.

I was kindly sent a set of Flexibath toys to review.

flexibath toys, bath toys, toys for the bath, toys

Flexibath Toys

These toys are fantastic! Miss A loves playing with them in and out the bath. They have joined her kitchen box and have become part of her kitchen role play!

The Flexibath™ Toys include an ingenious small table which can be attached to all bathtubs by means of the specially designed suction cups. The table offers the child an additional place to play with their favourite bath-time toys while enjoying a bath. Moisten suction cups before sticking them to the bath.

The Flexibath Toys are a coffee/tea making site that includes cups, jugs and a funnel. They are made from soft TPE plastic and can be used in an ordinary bath as well as the Flexi Bath. They are free from PVC, Phthalates, BPA, heavy metals and other harmful and hazardous materials. You can even put them in the dishwasher (max 60° centigrade)

I have accidentally put one in the washing machine too and it turned out OK but I would suggest that you shouldn’t do this. I think Miss A put it in there and I didn’t notice! Thank goodness we don’t have a small dog and the chinchillas are secure!

Visit the Whitestep website to see more about these fantastic bath toys!

I was kindly sent a Flexibath to review.

When this arrived, I was very excited as I have a problem when travelling to see my parents. They do not have a bath. When Miss A was younger she used to fit in the kitchen sink but she doesn’t really fit in there any more. I did have my doubts about the Flexibath. Being a bath that folds up, how on earth does it manage to have water plus toddler in it? Surely it will split? Well I do not have any doubts any more as the bath is perfect!

Miss A loved having a bath in it, she didn’t want to get out and even cried!

Miss A in her Flexibath

The Flexibath can be used for babies and toddlers from 0 to 4. It weighs just over a kilogram, which is fantastic for travelling. Has a fantastic plug which is easy to pull off and put back on. Quite simply, the Flexibath is fantastic. You can even use it as a toy box, for water play, laundry basket etc.

This bath will be fantastic for my next child as then Miss A can help out with the bathing (if and when I get pregnant…it has been eight months now!)

Visit the Whitestep website to find out more about this baby bath.

I was sent a box of Askeys Crazy Faces to review. These are cone wafers with added fun. A box of 12 ice-cream cones including a pack of edible faces to decorate your ice-cream with. You can make, cats, dogs and scary monsters!

I think these are fantastic and Miss A certainly loved sticking the faces on the ice cream. She wasn’t that keen on eating the rice paper faces though, she put it in her mouth and promptly spat it out again. Maybe she is a little too young for them. I however loved them! In terms of the wafer cone, well this video should prove how much Miss A loved eating it! She even said tasty! Why didn’t I put a bib on her?

And here is a picture too!

I received a Little Charley Bear Up, Up and Away aeroplane toy for Miss A to play with and review.

The plane comes with a little soft Charley Bear toy. The plane makes noises when you press a button and also when you move the plane about. Miss A loves Charley Bear so she loved this toy. The phrases when you fly the plane are different than when you press the button.

One thing I would say is that I think the stickers on the plane should be left off. As soon as Miss A got hold of the plane, she was peeling the stickers off. The manufacturing company would probably save some money too! The plane is well made and the Little Charley Bear toy is well made too. Miss A loves both the plane and the toy but not together! She likes putting other things in the plane, but that’s OK as long as she loves both!

We have had the plane for a few weeks and it is played with almost every day so I would certainly recommend it!

I can’t find Charley Bear at the moment, he is around but we are in the middle of some serious decluttering so the pictures are just of the plane…and a pine cone!

Collective Dairy, Russian Fudge, yoghurt, fudge, dairy

Collective Dairy Russian Fudge yoghurt

I was sent some vouchers to get some Collective Dairy yoghurts, As they were big pots, I got one pot (will get a few of the others and review them seperately!) The Russian Fudge variety was the one I chose as that’s the flavour that my fiancé would like too.

Well what can I say about this product, it was absolutely amazing! It was creamy, tasty and both me and my fiance consumed the lot in two days!

I took a look at the pot…95% fat free! No way! How could something so yummy be 95% fat free?!

The product itself is very good quality. I love the fact that the fudge and the yoghurt are not mixed in. It means that you can decide on how much fudge sauce you have with the amount of yoghurt you want.

Can’t wait to try the other varieties now! I do have to go out of my way to get them as they are not readily available in the local supermarkets or where my fiancé works..but it will be worth the trip.

To find out more about the product then visit http://www.thecollectivedairy.co.uk/
