Thirty years ago this Christmas, Channel 4 broadcast The Snowman – an enchanting animated film that follows the adventures of a young boy and a truly remarkable Snowman, adapted from author and creator Raymond Briggs’ iconic children’s book The Snowman published by Puffin, an imprint of Penguin Children’s.

This December will see Lupus Films the team behind the Oscar nominated original film introduce The Snowman and The Snowdog – a brand new sequel to the classic that will premiere on Channel 4 this Christmas. To celebrate, Puffin will be publishing an audio eBook based on the film read by English actor Benedict Cumberbatch, star of BBC’s Sherlock. The narration for the eBook has been crafted by both Puffin and Lupus Films.

The ebook, which publishes on 29th December 2012 is available to pre-order on Apple, Nook and Kindle devices. Publication Date: 29th December 2012, Price: £4.99, Age: 3 – 5 years

    yes please! would love to be entered for this comp. This was actually the first film I was ever bought (on VHS!), my sister bought it for me for christmas and would love a copy for my little girl, kind of start a tradition 🙂

    One of my old time favourite Xmas cartoons. I still love Aled Jones version of ‘Im walking in the air.’

    Always record it but have never had a copy of this – would love to win so i can pass to my girls too 🙂
